Not so big changes as such seen by looking into this version, while few are listed below, which includes one major change / new feature App Tabs:

  • Support for 23 more languages
  • Added more support for CSS3 features, including support for CSS3 transitions and animations.
  • App Tabs, created for your most accessed websites, which you can access by clicking on their favicons or icons, right above the url bar, instead of a whole tab with the site descriptions in it.

WordPress Favicon, WordPress Icon, Blog Favicon

Looking for WordPress favicon, where you want your own designed logo or image to displayed along with the URL bar ? A blog favicon or wordpress icon is what can let you display such icons or favicons on the URL bar.

How To Display WordPress Favicon

If you have already designed your logo (.ico file) which you want to be displayed as your favicon, then it is very easy for you to let it display on your website. But if you dint create one yet, then try creating one yourself, or search on google for free icons, which will let you create your own icons with different options.

Once you are done and ready with your favicon, now you have to open your header.php file in wordpress admin area, by going to the left panel as: Appearance -> Editor
After clicking on Editor, the Edit Themes page will open, showing different files on the right bar.
Now click on Header (header.php) file.
After clicking on the header.php file, you will see the code of your header.php file there.
Dont be confused, you just have to enter a single line in there for your favicon.
Copy the following code, and paste it right after where the title ends :


Just replace the path http://www.webtechquery.com/wp-content/themes/decode-free/decode/images/wtq.ico with your favicon path, wherever you have saved it in.

Now save the file by clicking on the Update File button and refresh your website. You will see your favicon displaying right next to the URL bar.

After successfully downloading the Beta Firefox 4 file, simply extract the tar.gz file anywhere in your hard drive, for example, you can extract the files into a folder named ff4beta, in your Desktop or home folder.

After extracting the tar.gz file into your ff4beta folder in your Desktop, you simply have to create a Launcher in your Desktop, and start using Beta Firefox 4 for your Ubuntu.

Just follow the commands as given in the Launcher post given above, and in the Command field, give the path of the firefox file, existing in the folder you just extracted. For example, if you have extracted all the files in the Desktop folder, as ff4beta, then the command path in the Launcher could be:
/home/username/Desktop/ff4beta/firefox
(replace the username with our ubuntu username)

or if you have saved the folder in home folder as ff4beta, then the command path in the Launcher could be:
/home/ff4beta/firefox

Now that you have created the Launcher of your Firefox 4 Beta successfully, simply close your current Firefox, and start using the Firefox 4 Beta by double clicking on the shortcut or launcher you just created.
