If you want to search people in your Pidgin, and the Pidgin Search is not working properly, like it stops searching after writing a single letter, then this must be the GTK problem.
Download The File:
Download the following zip file, where the file exists: libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.12/gtk+-2.12.6.zip
Replace The File:
You can simply overwrite the file libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll, existing in the Program Files, which is usually found in the following location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\bin\
Or if your Program Files is in different drive, then replace the C: with your drive letter, example D:
For replacing the file, you first have to close Pidgin. After replacing the file, open your Pidgin again, and enjoy searching in your Pidgin and save the time of finding people in your list, by simply typing their names in Pidgin to get them easily.
